GORHAM, ME – Thomas was unable to get a victory in their season opener, falling to Gordon, 9-0 in a non-conference women's soccer match at the USM Invitational Friday evening. Kate Thibodeau registered nine saves in the loss.

The Fighting Scots got on the board early, striking for their first goal 26 seconds into the game. Gordon added three more in the early stages of the first half, then the Thomas defense was able to keep the 4-0 score stand for the remainder of the opening stanza.

Gordon would strike for five more tallies in the closing half to pull the game out of reach for the Terriers. Taylor Henderson registered the lone shot for Thomas in the loss.

The Terriers return to the pitch tomorrow as they take on New York Maritime at 2pm to close out the USM Invitational.
