Terriers Take Down Green Mountain 3-0 on Senior Day

WATERVILLE, ME- Thomas blanked Green Mountain in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's soccer match on Saturday, 3-0 on senior day. Elizabeth Anderson led the Terriers with four shots, finding the back of the net on one of them and added an assist in the win.

The Terriers struck early when Anderson played the ball across the box, where Lindsy Hoopingarner picked it up and fired it far post past Eagle keeper Amber Heath. Thomas would add another before half at the 41:32 mark on a corner kick by Jenn Day that tipped off of Heath's hands and into the back of the twine.

Anderson would add a goal of her own in the later stages of the second half to put the game out of reach for the away side at the 75:48 mark of the closing stanza.

Thomas outshot their opponent 21-5 on the day, while each team had two corners in the game.

Kate Thibodeau recorded the victory in net with two saves, while her counterpart Heath made eight saves in the losing effort.

Thomas will wait for the final seeding's to be released from the conference office to see where they will travel to for the NAC playoffs.
