BUCKSPORT, ME- The men's cross country competed in there last meet before they host the North Atlantic Conference championship at Quarry Road in Waterville. Today's three-miler was hosted by Maine Maritime in Bucksport and coming through first for the Terriers was Nick Kopf with a time of 16:24.
Along with Kopf the Terriers placed fifth, ninth and tenth. William Janakis came in fifth with a time of 17:06. Coming in ninth and tenth was Evan Boudreau and Dylan McNally with times of 17:32 and 17:40. In fifth for the Terriers was Aron MacLean with a time of 18:11.
Along with the top five every runner for the Terriers finished under twenty minutes.
The Terriers' performances weren't enough to take the team win today with Maine Mairtime Academy scoring 20 for the win. They were led by the one and two finishers in Matt Methot and Vijay Kataria, who came in a course record 16:16 and 16:23.
Janakis looks to lead the Terriers into next week's meet, which is on November 3rd. The Terriers will be bringing a group of runners with not much championship experience with only five runners, who a returning from last year. With that being said the Terriers look to show experience is everything and put on a strong performance, despite their in-experiences.
