Janakis Comes Through First for Thomas at Maine State Championship

WATERVILLE, ME- William Janakis led the men's cross country team today at Colby College for the Maine State Meet with a time of 30:40. Janakis time was good enough for a seventy-third finish. This was the second time the Terriers have run at Colby this year, the other time being on October 5th.

Behind Janakis was Nick Kopf who came in with a time of 30:48. Evan Boudreau came in behind Kopf in 31:30. Boudreau was followed by Aron MacLean who ran the meet in 32:07. Coming in fifth for the Terrirs was Dylan McNally who injured his ankle in the race, but still was able to finish the race in an impressive time of 33:01.

The Maine State champion runner for 2013 is Coby Horowitz of Bowdoin College in a time of 26:02; which led his team to a first place finish with a score of 41, just edging out both Colby College and Bates College who scored 46 and 47 respectively.

The Terriers placed eighth with a score of 230.

The Terriers will next be in action at Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday, October 26th in the last 5K race of the year.
