Box Score WATERVILLE, ME- Thomas (2-6, 0-3 NAC) was defeated by Colby-Sawyer (7-1-2, 3-0-1 NAC) in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's soccer contest Sunday afternoon. Kajsa Kaufeldt (Uppsala, Sweden) scored the Terriers lone goal in the loss.
Kaufeldt kicked off the game with a goal in just the third minute of competition, but would be all the scoring the Terriers would have in the contest.
Adrienne Bender put the Chargers on the board at the 34:33 mark, and would tally another score at 41:41 to give Colby-Sawyer a one goal lead going into half. Bender would strike twice more in the second half, scoring all of the Chargers goals in the victory.
Kate Thibodeau (Woolwich, Maine) had a game high 17 saves in the loss as Colby-Sawyer outshot Thomas by a staggering 40-5. The visitors held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks as well.
The Terriers return to the pitch next Saturday, Oct. 6 as they travel to Green Mountain for a 3pm game. Thomas defeated the Eagles last fall 1-0 in Waterville.
