Box Score WATERVILLE, ME- The Thomas Terriers (2-6, 0-2) fell to University of Maine-Fort Kent in a non-conference women's soccer contest Sunday afternoon. Lindsay Hoopingarner (Richmond, Maine) had 17 saves in her first collegiate start.
The Terriers would hold the Bengals scoreless until the 24th minute of the first half when Ariane Pelletier would strike one past Hoopingarner for the eventual game-winner. Pelletier would tally another goal at the 30:29 mark, assisted by Katherine Ferland to hold a two goal cushion to end the first half of play.
Fort Kent would score again in just the second minute into the second half as Ferland would score one of her three goals in the second half. The others coming at the 47:47 mark, and at 67:49.
The Bengals outshot Thomas 29-6, and held an 11-0 advantage in corners.
The Terriers will be back on the pitch Saturday, Sept. 29 as they host in-conference foe New England College at 3pm.
