Waterville, Maine—The Thomas College women's soccer team won their first game of the season over North Atlantic Conference rival Husson.  Sophomore Goal Keeper Kate Thibodeau recorded a shut out for the Terriers while first year Mary Grace Morris netted her second goal of the season.

Strong defensive play resulted in a scoreless first half despite a strong offensive attack from Husson as the Eagles took eight shots and six corner kicks.

The Terriers took the lead at the 58:33 mark when Morris connected a pass from junior Jasmine Ryan for the eventual game winning goal.

The Eagles fought hard to tie the game all the way up to the very last second of match but were not able to capitalize off of any of their 14 second half shots.

Thibodeau tallied 12 saves and records the win for the Terriers who improve to 1-5 (1-0 NAC) while Jessica Poulin shoulders the loss for the Eagles who fall to 1-5 (0-1 NAC).

The Terriers resume conference play Wednesday, September 21 at University of Maine at Farmington.  The Eagles travel to Wheaton College Sunday, September 18 for a non-conference match up.
