The Nor'Easters Storms through Women's Soccer 7-0

Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College women's soccer team fell to the University of New England Nor'Easters 7-0, in a non-conference match up at Alumni Field.  The Nor'Easters took a 1-0 lead into the half and came out firing six unanswered goals in the second half. Sophomore Kate Thibodeau made 20 saves against the 27 shots on goal she saw. With the loss the Terriers fall to 0-5 on the season; while UNE improves 5-0.

The first half saw a constant UNE attack, but they were unable connect until Emily Lodge got the Nor'Easters on the board with a goal at 37:03. First year Marlie Mochamer got UNE some insurance in the second half when she connected for the 2-0 lead. Nor'Easters went on to score five more goals in the second half. Two of the goals came off the foot of Kaityln Hall who scored at the 81:39 mark and the 85:23 mark.

Thibodeau stood strong in goal with 20 saves off 27 shots from the Nor'Easters; while Jess Woodworth earns the win for the visitors.

Thomas will host Husson in their first North Atlantic Conference matchup of the season at Alumni Field on September 17, at 3 pm.  UNE host Colby on September 14th.
