Kumlangngam Lifts Terriers Victory in OT

Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College women's soccer team notched their second win of the season with an overtime victory of the Eagles of Green Mountain College. Sophomore Arian Kumlangngam scored the game's lone goal in overtime lifting the Terriers to a 1-0 North Atlantic Conference win.

With the win the Terriers improve to 2-9 (2-4 NAC), while the visiting Eagles fall to 0-7-1 (0-4 NAC).

The first two halves saw a stalemate as both team struggled to slip a shot past the opposing goal keepers.  The Terriers outshot the Eagles 11-2 in the first half and both teams got off seven shots in the second.  

Kumlangngam tallied her unassisted goal 1:32 into the extra session for the win.

Sophomore goal keeper Kate Thibodeau made six shots and picks up her second win of the year.  Green Mountain's Emma Lord stopped made eight saves and shoulders the loss for the Eagles.

The Terriers will host Castleton tomorrow at 12 p.m. for a NAC match up on Alumni Field.
