WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's soccer team fell to Maine Maritime 2-0 in their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) regular season finale on Tuesday night at Smith field.
MMA got on the board in the 29th minute when a Kelsey Bern shot deflected off the Thomas keeper and right to Laura Blue who finished for the 1-0 lead.
The Mariners got their second in the 67th after a Thomas handball in the box led to an Eryn Doiron penalty kick goal to make it a 2-0 final.
Emily Conway earned the win for MMA, making two saves in 75 minutes before being relieved by Bess MacArthur. Isabelle Lang (Lincolnville, Maine) took the loss, making eight saves before being relieved by Lauren Bartlett (Wells, Maine) for the final 15 minutes.
Thomas will await final seeding to be announced to determine their spot in the 2019 NAC Women's Soccer Tournament.
