PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell to Johnson & Wales 74-66 in a non-conference game on Wednesday evening.
Addie Brinkman (Farmington, Maine) and Kaylee Ravagli (Lowell, Mass.) combined to score 40 points, with Brinkman's 21 leading the Terriers. Ravagli 4-8 (50.0%) from three-point range to score her 19. Malorie Weaver (Palermo, Maine) recorded 16 points and pulled in a team-high eight rebounds.
The teams were evenly matched in most key statistical categories, with the difference coming in field goal percentage, where the Wildcats held a 45.8% to 38.1%.
The teams were back-and-forth for the first three and a half quarters, with six ties and five lead changes through the game. Johnson & Wales was able to pull away in the final minutes to take the 74-66 win.
Thomas will host their home opener against UMaine-Augusta on Saturday, December 14 at 3:00 PM at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
