WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has released its pre-championship poll for track & field and both Thomas College men's and women's teams were picked to finish third in a vote conducted by the league's coaches. Thomas will compete in their first NAC Championship as a varsity program.
MEN'S COACHES POLL
Husson was selected as the favorite to win, collecting four first-place votes for a total of 46 points in the pre-championship poll, while SUNY Delhi garnered three first-place votes for 45 points to claim second. Thomas took third with 34 points, followed by UMaine-Farmington in fourth with 29. UMaine-Presque Isle was tabbed fifth with 20 points, while NVU-Lyndon (13) and NVU-Johnson (9) came in sixth and seventh, respectively.
WOMEN'S COACHES POLL
SUNY Delhi took the top spot with six first-place votes for a total of 48 points in the poll, while Husson garnered one first-place vote for 43 points to claim second. Thomas took third with 33 points, followed by UMaine-Farmington in fourth with 26. NVU-Lyndon was tabbed fifth with 23 points, while NVU-Johnson (12) and UMaine-Presque Isle (11) came in sixth and seventh, respectively.
