WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) announced its first set of weekly honors for men's tennis and Thomas College swept the awards. Ryan Chasse (Fort Kent, Maine) was named Player of the Week, while Liam Gould (Freeport, Maine) was named Rookie of the Week.
Chasse led the Terriers to a season-opening win over Norwich on March 1. The defending NAC Player of the Year picked up an 8-5 win in No. 1 doubles with partner Jose Afonso (Tenerife, Spain), then took No. 1 singles with a pair of 6-2 set wins.
Gould notched his first career singles and doubles wins, contributing to the Terriers 8-1 season-opening win against Norwich. The freshman earned an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles with partner Samuel Johnson (Fort Kent, Maine), then clinched a three-set win at No. 4 singles.
