WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's basketball team fell to Husson University 70-61 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Saturday afternoon at Larry Mahaney Gym.
Jordan Goodson (Orlando, Fla.) was the Terriers' leading scorer, dropping 15 points with five assists and three rebounds. Tyler Nixon (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Demetris Webster (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) each added 10 points, with Webster adding five assists and three steals.
Thomas went up 17-7 over the first seven minutes of the contest, but Husson fought back to tie the game 22-22 with 7:05 to go. Husson quickly gained the lead and extended it to a 38-32 advantage by the end of the first half. The Eagles held the Terriers off in the second half and did not relinquish the lead, moving on with the 70-61 victory.
Thomas will host UMaine-Presque Isle in a NAC game on Saturday, February 8 at 4:00 PM at Larry Mahaney Gym.
