WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's basketball team ended their semester of play with a 81-76 win over Fisher in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
Lovegeurson Fleurine (Fort Pierce, Fla.) led all scorers with 22 points and pulled in six rebounds and three steals. Zach Mackinnon (Kennebunk, Maine) went 5-8 (62.5%) from three-point range and scored 19 points. Demetris Webster (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) dished out six assists to lead the team.
Thomas got off to a strong start, building a lead of as much as 22 late in the first half and went into the intermission ahead 50-33. The Falcons whittled the lead down through the second half, eventually tying the game 71-71 with just under three to go. The Terriers retook the lead, however, and held Fisher off for the 81-76 win.
Thomas will return from the semester break on January 4 when they host Bates at 3:00 PM in Larry Mahaney Gym.
