XC: Ottman Leads Men to Thomas Invitational Win

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College cross country team hosted the Thomas Invitational on the Sukeforth Family Trail System on Friday afternoon. Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, N.H.) won the race to lead the men to a first-place team finish over Husson.

Ottman paced the group with a 5k time of 16:19.2 to win by 34.2 seconds. Jarrod Hooper (Lyman, Maine) came in third with a time of 17:16.3, followed right behind by teammate Ryan Beckerman (Bethel, Maine) in fourth place. Owen McQuarrie (Presque Isle, Maine) came in seventh, with Joshua Crocker (Southwest Harbor, Maine) scoring for the first time this season in 11th.

Audrey Kimball (St. Albans, Maine) recorded a personal record, coming in 17th with a time of 25:44.0 to represent the women.

Following the race, seniors Ottman and Trent Labbe (Waterville, Maine) were recognized.

Thomas will compete in the North Atlantic Conference Championship at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon on Saturday, November 2.
