XC: Ottman Wins Second Race of the Year at St. Joe's

WATERVILLE, Maine – Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, N.H.) won his second race of the year, leading the Thomas College men's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Runnin' Monks Invitational at St. Joe's on Saturday. The Terriers also had two runners compete on the women's side.

Ottman bested Troy Hendricks from St. Joe's by eight seconds to take the win. He finished the 8k in a time of 27:06.7. Jarrod Hooper (Lyman, Maine) came in next for Thomas, finishing in 12th place, while Ryan Beckerman (Bethel, Maine) followed in 17th. Jarod Maher (Sebago, Maine) scored for the Terriers for the first time this year, coming in 29th, while Alister Piccini (Winslow, Maine) rounded out the scorers for Thomas in 38th.

Audrey Kimball (St. Albans, Maine) and Susanna Owens (Winn, Maine) ran for the Thomas women, coming in 84th and 92nd, respectively.

The Terriers will host the Thomas Invitational on the Sukeforth Family Trail System on Friday, October 25.
