XC: Thomas Men Sixth Overall, First Among NAC Teams at Maine State Race

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Maine State Meet hosted by Colby College at Quarry Road. The men finished sixth overall and first among North Atlantic Conference (NAC) teams in the 13-team field, while the women did not register a team score.

Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, N.H.) came in 14th overall, first among NAC runners, with an 8K time of 27:13.6. Jarrod Hooper (Lyman, Maine) followed in 44th while Ryan Beckerman (Bethel, Maine) came in 66th. Alister Piccini (Winslow, Maine) was the fourth Thomas scorer in 78th, while Owen McQuarrie (Presque Isle, Maine) rounded out the lineup in 104th.

Audrey Kimball (St. Albans, Maine) and Fatoumata Diallo (Salem, Mass.) each registered personal records for the women, coming in with times of 27:56.7 and 32:48.6, respectively.

Thomas will compete in the Runnin' Monks Invitational at St. Joe's on Saturday, October 12.
