XC: Terriers Host First Meet on Sukeforth Family Trail System

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College men's and women's cross country teams hosted the Thomas Invitational on Friday afternoon. The races were the first on the newly constructed Sukeforth Family Trail System. The men won the event, while the women finished third.

Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, N.H.) won his third race of the season, finishing the 5k in 16:08.9. Teammates Jarrod Hooper (Lyman, Maine) and Alister Piccini (Winslow, Maine) came in 4th and 5th, while Dillon Sullivan (New Gloucester, Maine) Harrison Mosher (China, Maine) rounded out the scoring five for Thomas, coming in 13th and 17th, respectively.

Olivia Wallace (Jonesboro, Maine) came in 18th to lead the Terriers. Natalie Corrigan (Oakland, Maine), Cassidy Pinkham (Poland, Maine) and Brooklyn LeClair (Waterville, Maine) finished 22nd, 23rd and 24th, while Rebecca Kennett (Freeport, Maine) rounded out the Thomas lineup, coming in 26th.

SENIOR CELEBRATION

Following the races, seniors Sullivan and Corrigan were recognized for running in their final home meet.

The Terriers will run in the North Atlantic Conference Championship on Sunday, October 28 at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, Maine.
