WTEN: Nestor, Williams and Guerette Earn NAC Postseason Honors

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced it's end of season awards and three Thomas student-athletes have been recognized. Alexis Nestor (Gardiner, Maine) was named to the All-Conference First Team, Magan Williams (Oakland, Maine) earned All-Conference Second Team Honors and Makayla Guerette (Pittsfield, Maine) was named to the Sportsmanship Team.

Nestor served as the anchor for the Thomas lineup, competing at the No. 1 singles and doubles position. She was 4-2 in singles action against conference opponents this season. Williams was Thomas's No. 2 and partnered with Nestor in No. 1 singles. She also held a 4-2 record against conference opponents at singles. The two compiled a 3-3 record at No. 1 doubles against conference opponents.

Guerette is being recognized as a member of the Sportsmanship Team, which is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the tennis culture and environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that go beyond the playing rules and etiquette.
