Lindsey Allen Named to NEAC East Division All-Conference Team

WATERVILLE, ME – Thomas College junior Lindsey Allen (Jay, Maine / Spruce Mountain) has been named to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) East Division All-Conference Women's Tennis Team.

Allen, who played at the No. 1 position in both singles and doubles this season for the Terriers, posted a 10-12 record this fall. Her 5-6 record at No. 1 singles included a 4-3 mark in NEAC East Division play. Allen also paired with Olivia Mora to go 5-6 at No. 1 doubles, including 3-4 against the NEAC East.

This is the third all-league honor for Allen, who was a First Team Doubles selection each of the last two years with Jessica Bowen ('15). She was also the 2013 NEAC East Division Rookie of the Year.

Colby-Sawyer College, the No. 1 seed and host for this weekend's NEAC East Division Women's Tennis Championship, secured the majority of the major awards as senior Ashlyn Ramsay was named Player of the Year, freshman Aislinn O'Connor took honors as the circuit's top rookie and Barry Schoonmaker was named Coach of the Year for the third time in five seasons. Husson's Sarah Smith was named the Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year.

NEAC East All-Conference selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches.

Guimond Named to Sportsmanship Team
Sophomore Amelia Guimond (Fort Kent, Maine / Fort Kent) was named to the All-NEAC East Division Sportsmanship Team. This is the first year for the honor in this form, which previously honored one institution's entire team.

The Terriers finished 2-9 overall, 2-5 in NEAC East play under second-year head coach Jill Cristan.
