Thomas Predicted to Finish Third in Preseason Poll

WHITINGHAM, ME – The North Atlantic Conference announced its yearly preseason predictions for women's tennis and Thomas was selected to finish third in a poll done by the league's coaches.

Two-time defending champion Colby-Sawyer was unanimously selected as the preseason favorite to win the NEAC East Division Women's Tennis Championship after receiving all seven first-place votes in a poll conducted by the league's coaches.

The Chargers return four of their top-six singles players from a season ago including, junior Ashlyn Ramsay, an all-conference first team singles and doubles selection, senior Oxana Tkachenko, an all-conference first team doubles honoree, senior Ellen Graha, and sophomore Conley Dion.

Castleton, the 2013 runner-up, was voted second with 34 points. Thomas was tabbed third (28), while Johnson State was fourth (19), Lyndon was fifth (14), and MCLA was selected sixth (9). Green Mountain is in its first year sponsoring varsity women's tennis.
