Thomas Stings Hornets, 6-3

LYNDON, VT - Thomas improved to 4-5 overall, and 3-2 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), Saturday with a 6-3 victory over Lyndon.

In doubles play, the Terrier tandem of Jessica Bowen and Lindsey Allen defeated Kayla Flynn and Olivia Bernard 8-4 in the No. 1 matchup before Dalia Williams and Emily upped the Thomas to 2-0 with an 8-0 win in the second flight.

Thomas completed the sweep of the doubles matches when Logan Bruneau and Katie McAllister topped Lyndon's Kelsey Johnson and Carina Alden 8-4 in the third flight.

Flynn battled back to record a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Bowen in first singles but the momentum did not last long as Williams bested Bernard 6-2, 2-0 in second singles. Allen beat Kelly Butler 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 in No. 3 singles prior to Johnson earning a 6-3, 6-0 win over Bruneau in No. 4 singles.

Michaela Stanley earned the fifth Terrier victory of the match with win over the Hornets' Alexa Richard by retirement and Alden brought home the third Lyndon win of the day with a 6-1, 6-2 decision over McAllister.

Thomas returns to action tomorrow as they take on Castleton at noon.
