WATERVILLE, ME - Thomas women's tennis was able to snap their three match funk, defeating conference opponent MCLA 8-1 on Saturday afternoon. With the victory the Terriers improve to 3-5, 2-2 NEAC on the season.
Thomas kicked off the contest by sweeping doubles competition. Jessica Bowen and Lindsey Allen teamed up in number one doubles, winning 8-3. Dalia Williams and Emily Howard took number two doubles 8-4, while Logan Bruneau and Katie McAllister finished off the sweep with an 8-4 victory in number three doubles.
Bowen would continue her dominance in number one singles, winning 6-1 in both sets. MCLA would get their lone point in number four singles, as Bruneau fell to Rebecca Waterhouse, 6-3, 6-4.
McAllister had an exciting finish in number six singles, batting Kyle Dumas to a third set, winning it 7-6.
Thomas will travel to Vermont next weekend to conclude the regular season with matches against Lyndon State on Saturday and Castleton on Sunday.
