GORHAM, ME – Thomas was unable to salvage a split in their two games against University of Southern Maine this season, falling 9-0 in a non-conference women's tennis match on Thursday afternoon.

With the loss, the Terriers fall to 2-3 on the season, while the Huskies improve to 5-2.

Lindsey Allen came the closest to gaining a point for the visiting Terriers, battling to a 7-5, 6-2 loss in number four singles. Dalia Williams in number two singles fell 6-1, 6-2, while the combination of her and Emily Howard lost number two doubles, 8-1.

Thomas returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 21 as they travel to Castleton to resume conference play. The Terriers were 0-3 against the Spartans last season, including a 5-3 loss in the NEAC East Division semi-finals.
