Women's Tennis Splits Tri-Match with MCLA and Colby-Sawyer

NEW LONDON, NH- The Thomas women's tennis team (3-6, 3-3 NAC) split their tri-match Saturday against Colby-Sawyer and MCLA in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) showdown. The first match of the day the Terriers swept the Trailblazers 5-0. In the second match however the Chargers defeated Thomas 9-0.

Jessica Bowen (Lewiston, Maine), Tyler Ventura (Atkinson, N.H.), and Dalia Williams (Boston, Mass.) each collected victories in both doubles and singles against MCLA. Sarah Marckoon (Lamoine, Maine) teamed up with Williams in the victory, and Jennifer Johnson (Edmunds Twp, Maine) and Meaghan Keene (Tewksbury, Mass.) won their doubles match as well.

In the loss to Colby-Sawyer, the doubles pairing of Bowen and Ventura battled hard but eventually fell 8-2.

The Terriers will return to the courts tomorrow as they travel to Castleton for a noontime match.
