BOSTON, Mass. – The Thomas College women's soccer team was defeated by Emerson 3-0 in a non-conference match on Tuesday evening.
After a scoreless first the Lions got on the board early in the second with a goal in the first minute of the period by Veronica Alberts. Emerson added another in the 56th with a Bellamy Suter tally. Marie Bou Aziz tacked on another insurance goal in the 69th minute to give Emerson the 3-0 decision.
Maeve Huttner made two saves in the shutout win for Emerson. Lauren Bartlett (Wells, Maine) took the loss for Thomas, coming in for the second half and allowing three goals on eight shots. Isabelle Lang (Lincolnville, Maine) made the start and stopped five shots in the opening 45.
The Terriers will travel to UMaine-Presque Isle on Saturday, September 21 for a North Atlantic Conference game at 3:30 PM.
