WATERVILLE, Maine – Nikki Bradstreet (Topsham, Maine) scored twice to lead the Thomas College women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory and advance them to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Finals.
Bradstreet netted her first in the 14th minute, after Katherine Hoving (Bristol, Maine) slid her the ball in front to bury the go-ahead goal and send the Terriers into the half with a 1-0 lead.
Husson evened it up in the 57th minute when Olivia Tapley-Gately found Megan Connor at the top of the box, who found the back of the net to make it 1-1. The score stayed tied until the 74th minute, when a Hoving shot from the left wing deflected off the Husson keeper and directly to Bradstreet at the right post who tumbled into the goal with the game-winner to give Thomas the 2-1 victory.
Kayla Gordon (Wiscasset, Maine) made two saves to earn the win in net for Thomas. Sami Ireland stopped two of four shots in the loss for Husson.
Thomas will compete for their first North Atlantic Conference Championship on Sunday, November 4 against No. 3 UMaine-Farmington at 2:00 PM on Smith Field.
