WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has released its weekly awards for women's soccer and Katherine Hoving (Bristol, Maine) and Kayla Gordon (Wiscasset, Maine) have been honored. Hoving was named Player of the Week while Gordon was named Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive time.
Hoving scored five goals and registered two assists for 12 points in the Terriers 2-0 week. The freshman picked up two goals and two assists in Thomas' non-conference win (5-0) over UMaine-Machias on Wednesday, then scored her fourth hat-trick of the season in a 3-0 win over conference foe SUNY Canton on Saturday.
Gordon had two shutouts in the Terriers 2-0 week. She made six saves in a 5-0 win over non-conference opponent UMaine-Machias on Wednesday, then registered three saves in a 3-0 shutout of SUNY Canton on Saturday. Gordon now has five consecutive shutouts and nine overall this season.
Thomas will conclude its regular season on Wednesday, October 23 in a 4:00 PM NAC game at Maine Maritime Academy.
