WSOC: Hoving Nets Four in Win Over Unity

WATERVILLE, Maine – Katherine Hoving (Bristol, Maine) scored four times to lead the Thomas College women's soccer team to a 4-0 win over Unity in a non-conference game on Thursday night at Smith Field.

Hoving picked up her first just six minutes in off a feed from Cassie Contigiani (Belmont, N.H.) to give Thomas the early 1-0 lead. She scored her next two in a four-minute span, with goals in the 40th and 43rd minutes to put the Terriers up 3-0 at the break. Hoving picked up her fourth of the game and 21st of the season in the 54th minute to cap off the scoring and give Thomas the 4-0 win.

Kayla Gordon (Wiscasset, Maine) earned the shutout win for Thomas, making one save in the effort. Sarah Cantwell got the loss for Unity, allowing four goals on 23 shots.


  • Hoving has now scored multiple goals in four consecutive games and five times overall on the season.


Thomas will host Husson in a North Atlantic Conference match on Saturday, October 13 at 1:30 PM as part of Homecoming & Family Weekend.
