WSOC: Terriers Top Lyndon in NAC Opener

LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Kayla Gordon (Wiscasset, Maine) stopped all six saves she faced for her third shutout of the season as the Thomas College women's soccer team defeated Northern Vermont University-Lyndon 2-0 in their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opener on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless opening 60 minutes, the Terriers got on the board with Katherine Hoving's (Bristol, Maine) seventh goal of the season in the 61st minute. Julia Smith (Durham, Maine) added an insurance goal three minutes later with Makenzie Carlow (Winslow, Maine) picking up the assist to give Thomas the 2-0 victory.

Gordon picked up her third victory of the season, while Lauren Young took the loss for Lyndon.


The Terriers will visit the University of Southern Maine on Wednesday, September 19 for a 7:00 PM match.
