HENNIKER, N.H. — The Thomas College women's soccer team concluded the 2017 season with a 2-0 defeat at New England College on Sunday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action.

With the win, NEC improves to 7-8-2 overall and 6-2-1 in NAC play, while Thomas falls to 4-12-0 overall and 3-6-0 in league action.

NEC's Jaycie Triandafilou finished off a corner kick with a header goal in the 10th minute to put the Pilgrims on the board.

The score remained unchanged for the next 76 and a half minutes, while Emily LePage deflected a pass off the Thomas keeper for a score.

The Pilgrims had plenty of opportunities before LePage's goal as they put 18 of their 33 shots on-target, but Thomas's keeper Kayla Gordon (Wiscasset, Maine) finished with 16 saves.

Katelynn Brewster was not forced to make a save in the win as none of Thomas's five shots were on-target, but she did intercept a crucial cross in the late minutes of the game to prevent the Terriers from tying the score.
