Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Platinum Award

KANSAS CITY, MO – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced the 2016 NSCAA Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award winners and the Thomas College women's soccer team has been honored with a Platinum Award for their outstanding sportsmanship.

The Platinum award winners will be recognized at the College Coaches Awards Reception in the JW Marriott Gold Ballroom 1 on Thursday, January 12 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. in Los Angeles, California at the NSCAA convention.

Coach Deb Biche-Labbe released a statement on behalf of receiving the award, "Our team is very honored and proud to receive this award from the NSCAA.  Going an entire season without any cards is a very difficult task but this recognition represents how our team, department, college and conference values and emphasizes good sportsmanship while still competing hard in the game that we love."

The Terriers were one of nine soccer teams throughout the country to earn the award.  There are four different levels of the awards from the NSCAA: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
