Women’s Soccer 2011 Season Recap

Waterville, Maine—The Thomas College women's soccer team finished their 2011 season on October 29th when they traveled to number one seeded Castleton State for the North Atlantic Conference Tournament Quarterfinal's.  Senior captains Victoria Devonshire and Terissa Ridge competed in their last collegiate game that day.  Ridge scored the lone goal for the Terriers in the loss.

The Terriers placed eighth in the conference finishing with an overall record of 3-14 (3-6 NAC).

Sophomore Arian Kumlangngam and first year Mary Grace Morris led the Terriers with 7 points apiece; both scored three goals and had one assist.  Two Terriers scored their first career goals this fall, first Year Kristi Hilton netted her first collegiate goal on September 8th against the Monks of St. Joseph's (Me.) and Morris netted her first collegiate goal on September 11th against the Clippers of the University of Maine at Machias. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Kate Thibodeau amassed 175 saves with a .792 save percentage.

The Terriers scored a memorable win on September 17th when they defeated NAC rival Husson, 1-0.  Morris netted the lone goal and Thibodeau recorded 12 saves in her first shutout of the season. 

The Terriers recorded an overtime victory against the Eagles of Green Mountain on October 8th.  One minute and 23 seconds into overtime Kumlangngam scored the winning goal and Thibodeau picked up her second shutout of the season.

Morris earned NAC Rookie of the Week for the week of September 11th-September 17th.   During that week she tallied two goals including the game winner against Husson.
