Title: Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

Carey joined the coaching staff in the winter of 2014 as a goalie coach for the women’s lacrosse team.

Carey is a 1996 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a double B.A. in History and Political Science. While at UMF Carey, was a four-year starter and captain for the men’s lacrosse team. While at UMF, Carey scored 143 goals as an attack man in four seasons at Farmington. Carey also has B.A. in Special Education and serves as a special education teacher at Winslow High School.

Carey is a native of Augusta, Maine, where he attended Cony High School. He is a founding member of the boy’s lacrosse program at Cony, and played private school lacrosse at the Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire.

Carey served as a Varsity Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach at Cony High School in 1998, Girls Junior Varsity Lacrosse Coach at New Bedford High School in 1997, Varsity Girl’s Lacrosse Coach at New Bedford High School from 1998-2001, and spent time as a High School & College Official for men’s lacrosse at the Dartmouth Sports Dome in Dartmouth Massachusetts from 1998-2001.

Carey also currently serves as the Head Coach of the Winslow High School Girls Lacrosse program.
