FARMINGTON, Maine – The Thomas College women's lacrosse team fell to UMaine-Farmington 12-8 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Tuesday afternoon.
Nikki Bradstreet (Topsham, Maine) opened the scoring for Thomas less than three minutes in to give the Terriers the early lead. UMF rallied off nine straight goal through the period, before Mackenzie Driscoll (North Andover, Mass.) scored in the final minutes to make it 9-2 at the half.
Thomas cut the lead early in the second, with Driscoll and Bradstreet each scoring to make it 9-4. UMF answered back with two goal to extend the lead to 11-4. Thomas scored four straight, including three from Bradstreet and one from Alexis Felch (Laconia, N.H.), to bring themselves within three at 11-8 with four minutes to go. UMF added a late insurance goal take the 12-8 win.
Arianna Cannistraro (Waltham, Mass.) took the loss for Thomas, making 11 saves.
Thomas will visit Northern Vermont University-Lyndon on Wednesday, April 23 at 5:00 PM in their NAC finale
