FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Thomas College women's lacrosse team defeated Dean 11-7 in a non-conference game on Monday afternoon.
The Terriers held control through much of the first half, scoring the first three goals of the game. Tanasia Eldon (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) got the first one for Thomas, followed by goals from Mackenzie Driscoll (North Andover, Mass.) and Alexis Felch (Laconia, N.H.). After Dean got on the board at the 11:20 mark, Driscoll and Felch each scored to make it 5-1. The Bulldogs added one late in the half to make it 5-2 at the half.
Dean scored three times early, with Felch getting her third at the 26:26 mark as the Bulldogs made it a 6-5 game. The teams traded goals over the middle part of the half, with Driscoll scoring twice and Eldon getting another as Thomas held a 9-7 lead with five minutes to go. Driscoll and Felch each added insurance goals to give Thomas the 11-7 win.
Arianna Cannistraro (Waltham, Mass.) made 19 saves to earn the win between the pipes for Thomas.
Thomas travels to Regis on Tuesday, April 9 at 4:00 PM.
