Turner Named NAC Senior Scholar Athlete; Bentz to the Sportsmanship Team

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its Women's Lacrosse All-Conference awards as Jordan Turner (Casco, Maine) earned Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year while Madison Bentz (Algonquin, Ill.) was named to the Sportsmanship Team.

Turner is being recognized for excelling academically and athletically throughout her undergraduate experience, while serving as a role model in both the classroom and on the field. The dual-sport athlete, women's basketball and women' lacrosse, is an Elementary Education major. The senior has been named to both the President's List and the Dean's List during her time at Thomas. She was selected as a Rural Scholar in the Thomas Rural Residency Program. On the field, she played in 10 of the Terriers 13 games this season, making eight starts, while gathering 22 ground balls, winning seven draw controls, causing five turnovers, and netting one goal.

Bentz was named to the Sportsmanship Team in her first season with the program.  The NAC Women's Lacrosse Sportsmanship Team is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the lacrosse culture and environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that go beyond the playing rules and etiquette.
