Thomas College Announces Resignation of Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Jen Nardi

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Thomas College women's lacrosse head coach Jennifer Nardi has resigned, effective immediately, Director of Athletics David Roussel announced Monday.

The process to select a new coach is in progress. Associate Director of Athletics/Head Women's Soccer Coach Deb Biche-Labbe will oversee the day-to-day operations of the program until the position can be filled.

Nardi, who was hired in August, spent three years as the head coach at Smith College (Mass.) where she went 15-36 overall from 2012-2014 with an ECAC runner-up finish in 2012.

"Thomas College is committed to our women's lacrosse program and providing our student-athletes with a great experience," Roussel added. "We are excited about the upcoming season and believe our women's lacrosse program will continue to develop with a goal of being a top program both in the North Atlantic Conference and in the region."

Thomas, which was 8-4 a year ago and advanced to the NAC Tournament championship game, opens its season March 1 at the University of New England.
