WATERVILLE, ME - Thomas women's lacrosse senior midfielder Jennifer Day has been named the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for her performance during the week of March 16-22.
Day came up big for the Terriers as the team recorded a 13-10 come-from-behind victory in their conference opener over New England College. The senior netted three goals in the last 1:03 of the first half as the Terriers rallied from a 4-1 deficit to take a 6-4 into halftime.
The West Gardiner native scored two more goals in the second half as the Terriers overcame their second deficit on the game, trailing 9-7 with 16 minutes left before scoring six unaswered to take home the win.
Day also tallied one assist in each half for a team-leading seven points, while going 1-for-3 on free position shots and scooping up one ground-ball and causing two turnovers.
