WATERVILLE, ME - The Thomas women's lacrosse team has been selected second in the 2015 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's lacrosse preseason poll. The Terriers received a total of 72 points and one of the nine first-place votes.
Castleton was selected as the top team in the 2015 preseason poll. The Spartans received a total of 80 points, including eight of the nine first place votes.
Colby-Sawyer and New England College tied for third with 53 points apiece and the University of Maine at Farmington placed fifth with 43 points to round out the top billing.
Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league's head women's lacrosse coaches.

Throughout the next three weeks all nine NAC women's lacrosse teams will kick off their quest for the 2015 conference title. The top six teams in the 2015 regular-season conference standings will qualify for the conference tournament, which gets underway Sunday, April 26, with quarterfinal action between seeds 3-6.
The top two seeds will earn a bye in the first round and will take on the two quarterfinal winners in the semifinals on Wednesday, April 29. The two semifinal victors will battle for the NAC championship on Saturday, May 2.
