Sarah Merrill Named New Head Coach of Women's Lacrosse

WATERVILLE, ME - The Thomas athletics department have announced the hiring of Sarah Merrill as the new head coach for the women's lacrosse team.

Sarah is a graduate of New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology & Minor in Wellness and played four years of collegiate lacrosse for the Pilgrims, serving as a captain of the team during her senior year in 2013. 

After her collegiate playing career, Merrill has been involved in coaching lacrosse, most recently as a women's club lacrosse coach for the University of New Hampshire. Merrill has also served as head coach for Barrington Middle School in Barrington, New Hampshire and as a head coach for a U-13 lacrosse team for NESLL.

The Thomas women's lacrosse team is coming off an 8-6 season (5-1 NAC), which concluded with a 10-9 loss in the North Atlantic Conference finals.

The Terriers open up their 2015 regular season on Saturday, February 28 at Rivier College.
