The Thomas women's lacrosse team will be looking to crack into the upper echelon of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) standings as they take the field for the 2013 season. After a 5-7 overall record and 2-4 conference record last season, the Terriers just missed out on qualifying for the NAC Championship tournament.
Thomas will return its top five point scorers from 2012, led by senior midfielder Ceara DiBiase (Westbrook, Maine), who earned Second Team All-NAC recognition and was top on the team with 29 goals, 11 assists for 40 points. Also returning is top goal scorer sophomore midfielder Jennifer Day (Gardiner, Maine), who netted 30 goals in her first season. Senior Jasmine Ryan (Berwick, Maine), junior Jillian Lambert (Dayton, Maine), and sophomore Brittany Premo (Concord, N.H.) return as well to provide the Terriers with additional scoring ability.
While the Terriers lost only four starters from last season's team, they added seven newcomers for this season that will be eager to make an impact along with several returning reserves.
Thomas begins their season Tuesday with a non-conference tilt against Saint Joseph's with the first home game coming March 10 versus Wheelock on the Black Field.
