Women’s Lacrosse Picked Sixth in the NAC East

Whitingham, Vt. – The Thomas College women's lacrosse has been picked sixth in the North Atlantic Conference East Division Preseason Coach's Poll as announced by the conference office on Friday morning.

The Terriers received 16 votes to finish above the University of Maine at Farmington who wrapped up the poll with 11 points. Castleton State returns to the NAC East Division since leaving after the 2009 season to take the top spot with 42 points and four first place votes.

The 2011 Terriers finished the season with a 4-11 record overall and a 1-5 conference record. The Terriers made a strong push in the NAC East Division Tournament all the way to the championship game where they fell 13-9, to the Eagles from Husson.

The Terriers kickoff their 2012 season on Monday February 27th on the road at the University of New England. Their first NAC East Division game will be on April 6th against number one ranked Castleton.
