Bangor, ME - The Husson University Eagles (5-3, 3-1 NAC) downed the Tomas College Terriers(2-6, 0-2 NAC) 16-7 in a North Atlantic Conference East Division contest. Husson's Kim Gambon powered the Eagles to the win and a game high with four goals and one assist.
Thomas' Ceara DiBiase started the scoring less than two minutes into the game off an unassisted fast-break goal. Husson answered three minutes later when Caitlyn Stauffer netted a goal off an assist by Stephanie Eaton. The Eagles continued their scoring flurry through the first half, collecting 13 goals to end the half with a 13-2 lead over the Terriers.
Kim Gambon opened the second half scoring for the Eagles with a goal assisted by Brittani Rex. Thomas fought back and scored four unanswered goals in eleven minutes of play to trail the Eagles 15-6. Despite the late Thomas surge, the Eagles' lead proved too great for the Terriers to overcome and the game ended with a 16-7 Husson win.
Thomas' Ceara DiBiase Megan Denby, and Kiley Jolicoeur scored two goals apiece. Gambon paced the Eagles with five goals and one assist, followed by Stephanie Eaton with four goals and three assists. In net, Teshia Kates tallied 11 saves while Kaleigh Morneau registered 10 saves.
The Terriers will host Green Mountain College at home on April 16th at 12 p.m.
