Tiffany Lockett joined the women's basketball coaching staff in October of 2017.
Lockett comes to Maine from Woodbridge, Virginia where she was the head coach for two seasons at Forest Park High School. During her tenure, she was tasked with rebuilding the program and started a mental toughness program, the first-ever of its kind in school history.
She left Forest Park in 2016 to set up a competitive junior national and sub-regional basketball program in St. Lucia as a part of a partnership between the St. Lucia Ministry of Youth Development and Sports and the Peace Corps.
Prior to her time at Forest Park, Lockett served as the head coach at South County High School in Lorton, Virginia. She took over the program in her third season at the school and led the team to its first regional playoffs in recent history.
Before starting her coaching career, Lockett was a Technician II/EMT/Firefighter for six years with the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue. Lockett held several positions in the Cleveland, Ohio Department of Parks and Recreation and also coached for the Men’s Midnight Basketball League.
Lockett earned a Bachelor’s in Sport Management from Baldwin-Wallace University in 1993 where she was a member of the women’s basketball and track and field program for four years. In 2012, she earned her Master’s in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
She was also inducted into the Wooster High School All-Sports Hall of Fame in 2011 for her outstanding achievements as a three-sport athlete (basketball, volleyball, and track & field).
