BANGOR, Maine — The Thomas College women's basketball team was defeated 90-53 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest against Husson University on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers were led by Kaylee Ravagli (Lowell, Mass.) who recorded 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. The supporting cast for Thomas was Karli Stubbs (Auburn, Maine) with 13 points and two steals, and Malorie Weaver (Palermo, Maine) with 11 points, three rebounds and two steals.
Thomas held even with Husson until halfway through the first period when the Eagles went on a 15-2 run to end the quarter with a lead of 28-12. Husson maintained the lead, outscoring Thomas 20-13 in the second quarter to give the Eagles a 48-25 advantage at the intermission.
Husson came out of the break strong, maintaining their lead 68-36 at the end of the third quarter. The Eagles continued to mount their lead and coasted to a 90-53 victory over the Terriers.
Thomas will visit UMaine-Farmington for their regular season finale on Tuesday, February 18 for a NAC game at 5:30 PM.
