WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell to Colby College 79-41 on Tuesday evening.
After Thomas scored the game's first basket, Colby busted out on a 22-1 run to take a 22-3 advantage after one. The teams traded points through the second period, with Colby turning it on late to take a 40-16 lead into the intermission.
Thomas started the third quarter on a 10-4 run to cut the lead to 44-26 five and a half minutes in. The Mules took back over and held a 60-28 lead into the final quarter. Colby put Thomas away in the fourth, outscoring the Terriers 19-13 to take the 79-41 win.
Addie Brinkman (Farmington, Maine) led the way for Thomas with a 13-point, 10 rebound double-double. Kaylee Ravagli (Lowell, Mass.) added eight points and four steals, while Malorie Weaver (Palermo, Maine) tacked on seven points.
Thomas will travel to SUNY Canton for their first North Atlantic Conference game of the year on Friday, December 6 at 5:30 PM.
