PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's basketball team defeated UMaine-Presque Isle 65-60 on Saturday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game.
UMPI came out with an early advantage in the first, taking an 8-4 lead four minutes in. The Terriers went on to rattle off seven straight points and took a 17-11 lead after one. Thomas held their cushion through an even second quarter to take a 30-23 lead at halftime.
The Terriers pushed their lead to as much as 12 midway through the third and took a 44-36 advantage into the final quarter. The Owls made a push late in the game, but the Terriers held strong and went on to the 65-60 victory.
Molly Horton (Brownington, Vt.) led Thomas with 12 points and six assists. Kaylee Ravagli (Lowell, Mass.) added 11 off the bench, while Karli Stubbs (Auburn, Maine) scored 10 and pulled in nine rebounds.
The Terriers will travel to Husson for a NAC game on Friday, February 8 at 7:30 PM.
