WBB: Beavers Take Down Thomas in NAC Game

FARMINGTON, Maine – The Thomas College women's basketball team fell to UMaine-Farmington 74-64 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Saturday afternoon.

UMF went ahead early, holding a 14-2 lead with four minutes left in the first and finished the quarter up 21-12. Thomas closed the gap early in the second, pulling the score to 23-19 two minutes in. The Beavers separated themselves again quickly with a trio of baskets to make it 29-19 midway through the quarter. The teams traded baskets through the rest of the half as UMF went into the break with a 34-25 lead.

The Beavers lead remained through the third quarter, as UMF held a 15-14 edge in the quarter to take a 49-39 lead into the fourth. The teams were even once again in the final quarter, with both teams scoring 25 points as UMF went on to the 74-64 win.

Malorie Weaver (Palermo, Maine) led the Terriers with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Karli Subbs (Auburn, Maine) and Molly Horton (Brownington, Vt.) added 15 and 14, respectively.


Thomas will host Husson in a NAC game on Friday, January 25 at 7:30 PM.
